What if you stepped behind the screen to discover the unseen world of cinema? With L’Envers du décor, the central alley of the Anciens Abattoirs is transformed into an image-making workshop, combining a pop-up studio with a screening space. Workshops, shoots, editing, film screenings, talks and immersive experiences encourage public participation in the creative process. A collective, accessible and dynamic project driven by the region’s film community.

For the first time, the Derrière l’écran collective brings together several Neuchâtel-based film organisations around a shared project: 2300 Plan 9, Ciné-club du Locle, NIFFF and La Lanterne Magique. From genre cinema to films for young audiences, from documentaries to audiovisual creation, their worlds complement one another. A collaboration that brings together their expertise, networks and audiences around a shared desire: to innovate and share cinema in new ways.
