lcdf27 gives pride of place to circus arts! In the heart of the city, on a disused SBB site transformed into a village of big tops, Circo Bello will host the creation of the show “Face à Face” by La Chaux-de-Fonds artist Maélie Palomo. Yasmine Morand’s show “Insân” will also be presented, at the crossroads of circus and dance. The most famous of clowns, Bonaventure Gacon, will present “Par le Boudu”, a piece that will celebrate its 25th anniversary.
And to add a bit of a challenge: a world record juggling attempt! Get your balls ready!
On the other side of the Grand Pont, two major international circuses will set up their tents, including the Belgian collective Les Malunés, who will present “Tout va hyper bien” under their big top. This is a circus where the audience is invited to contribute to the performance—an opportunity to be right on the track and see them from even closer!
Meanwhile, in his truck, Belgian juggler Stijn Grupping will defy the laws of gravity by throwing balls against everything surrounding him. And no matter where he sends the balls, they always land in the same spot.
