In 1943, to celebrate Mussolini’s removal from power, the Cervi family, who were involved in the Italian Resistance, cooked some pasta and shared it with the whole village. The author, director and culinary artist Floriane Facchini draws on this historic event to create a culinary epic, informed by research carried out in both Italy and France. Here, history is as much a story to be told as it is a dish to be eaten: over a plate of pasta shared with the audience, the meal becomes a collective act of remembrance, resistance and freedom.
