Through organic sculptures and sound and video work, Pop-mortem explores flesh, transformation and memory, in an ongoing dialogue with the history of the Anciens Abattoirs. An immersive exhibition that blends changing materials, decomposing bodies, pop culture and acts of care, gently drawing us into intimate, complex and profound questions.

Born from a residency at Villa Numa in La Chaux-de-Fonds, this project is jointly led by Charlie Malgat and Marie Gaitzch. Through sculpture, installation and video, Charlie Malgat explores the processes of material transformation, focusing on the plasticity of forms and their capacity to mutate, degrade and be recycled. Art historian and curator Marie Gaitzsch accompanies her in this new stage of her artistic journey.
