A Swiss-Moroccan multi-instrumentalist and producer from Switzerland’s alternative music scene, Sami Galbi draws on his diverse musical influences to shape his sonic identity. He blends North African raï and chaâbi traditions with the electronic rhythms and sonic textures that have shaped his musical journey. His influences range from American hip-hop and British bass music to house and Afro-Caribbean dance music. On stage, armed with analogue machines, raw synthesisers and an electric guitar, Galbi delivers a high-intensity performance drawing on the codes of postmodern urban music.
