Olaf Breuning brings his Smoke Bombs to life across the city. Smoke bombs release enormous clouds of colour that meet, mingle and momentarily transform the landscape. A work as spectacular as it is ephemeral, to be experienced together: a few minutes of intense colour to mark a new beginning, disrupt the familiar surroundings and launch the year in a great cloud.

Olaf Breuning (1970, Schaffhausen; lives and works in New York) creates with photography, video, sculpture, drawing and installation. His work playfully subverts imagery from popular culture, advertising and art history. His work has been exhibited at the Palais de Tokyo, MoMA PS1 and the Centre Pompidou.
