Sources is a pavilion designed by Pamela Rosenkranz at the heart of the Old Slaughterhouses garden. Inspired by kikajons, small pavilions typical of La Chaux-de-Fonds, it reinterprets this local architecture as a place for meeting and contemplation. Its translucent circular wall interacts with light, sky, and vegetation. Both a symbolic fountain and an observatory, Sources invites visitors to take a fresh look at the resources and narratives that shape the region.

Fountain Rose is an international architecture and research studio founded by artist Pamela Rosenkranz and architect Joana de la Fontaine. Their work explores the relationships between bodies, materials and forms of circulation within artificial and organic systems.
Biographies
Pamela Rosenkranz (1979, Altdorf) lives and works in Zurich. A leading figure in the contemporary Swiss art scene, she explores the relationships between body, perception and environment, blurring the boundaries between nature and culture, the living and the artificial. Her work has been shown at the Venice Biennale, the Fondation Beyeler, the Kunsthaus Zürich, the Kunsthalle Basel, the Swiss Institute in New York and the Centre Pompidou, among others. In 2015, she represented Switzerland in Venice with Our Product.
Joana de la Fontaine is a Swiss-Portuguese architect whose work unfolds between art and architecture. Through drawing and spatial research, her practice is guided by an interest in colour, materiality and light. She studied architecture at ETH Zurich, where she developed a deep interest in phenomenology and the poetics of space. She has taught at the Academy of Fine Arts Munich, Kingston University and Bern University of the Arts (HKB). Her work has been featured in various publications, including Arch+ and Flash Art. She is also the founder of the BosqueRreal exhibition space in Zurich.
